This has been a great week. I am loving the Kelly Rae Roberts creative business course I'm taking right now. Packed full with amazing information and resources. Not to mention her own inspiring story. I dove right in and have already been implementing some of the great advice. Once again, I am amazed at the fruits action brings about. The more I focus on what I truly treasure, the more things move... Mountains move. I told my husband that, time and time again I am in awe of how God waits patiently, and as soon as we show our effort, He is there to meet us with open doors and clearing new paths. I pray too often, "Lord, show me what's next, and I'll do it." I forget that He wants us to step out in faith, and He will reveal as we move and flow along with His will.
One of the things I am most excited about is joining the Arts Guild of Woonsocket. I have enjoyed the online artist community for years. But, for some reason, I have had the darnedest time connecting with other local artists and artisans. I have looked, and tried to find kindred spirits to share this art journey with, but I wasn't able to. Then, this past weekend, a Facebook friend posted about how much she loved an abstract painting I did for her and her fiancé. A friend of hers checked out my Facebook page, and suggested that I join the local arts guild, of which, she is a member. Finally!!! A real flesh and blood connection in my own community!!! We emailed each other, I contacted the guild, and sent in my paperwork and fees! I can't wait to meet the rest of the members and partake of some of the events.
I'm also thrilled to announce that I'll be renewing my contract with 413 Glassworks in Cheshire, Ma. as well as sending some of my art to The Stagecoach Gallery in Platte, South Dakota. So much happening around our little studio. I'm just so thankful to have a family that is willing to eat dinner outside in the grass so that I can use the extra space on the kitchen table for painting backgrounds. ;)
